Abstract

Education is a learning process that aims to develop individual potential, both in intellectual, emotional, social, and life skills aspects. Children's cognitive development includes increasing the ability to think critically, which includes various important aspects of the cognitive process. In this phase, children begin to learn to think logically, such as remembering, memorizing, and drawing conclusions based on the information they remember. Consequently, interactive and fun learning media are essential to facilitate early childhood comprehension of numerical concepts. Number symbol cards effectively facilitate early childhood comprehension of numerical concepts in an engaging manner. This study employs a descriptive qualitative methodology. The objective of the qualitative methodology is to examine how educators endeavour to enhance children's cognitive skills through the utilisation of number symbol cards. The outcomes of the initial meeting were just 8%, which rose to 19.33% in the subsequent meeting as compared to week one. This means that in week 2 there has been an increase of 27.33% when compared to week I. Moral support, a positive learning environment, and the availability of learning resources at home also encourage children to understand the concept more optimally. The use of interactive learning media that suits children's learning styles can be a solution to improve their understanding of the basic concepts of recognizing numbers and support their readiness to enter the next level of education.
