Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing mindfulness techniques on the learning motivation of sixth grade students of SDN Paberasan I Sumenep. The study used a concurrent embedded strategy design with a mixed method, where qualitative and quantitative data were collected simultaneously through interviews, observations, and Likert scale questionnaires. The subjects of the study consisted of 28 students selected using purposive sampling techniques. The results showed that the implementation of mindfulness techniques was effective in increasing students' learning motivation, with an average percentage of questionnaire results of 74.03%, indicating a positive response from students. Items with the highest percentage (84.38%) indicated success in certain aspects, while items with the lowest percentage (60.42%) indicated the need for more attention. Mindfulness techniques, including breathing exercises, focusing on the body, and visualizing learning goals, successfully helped students improve their focus, calmness, and enthusiasm for learning. This study concludes that mindfulness techniques can be a relevant approach in creating a more focused and productive learning atmosphere. Practically, these findings are expected to provide recommendations for educators to increase students' learning motivation through a simple but effective psychological approach.
