Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension and diabetes remain major public health challenges requiring community-based prevention efforts. The utilization of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) offers a potential alternative due to their local availability, affordability, and cultural relevance. This community engagement program aimed to enhance community knowledge, skills, and awareness in cultivating and utilizing TOGA as a complementary therapy for NCD prevention. The program applied a Community-Based Participatory Approach (CBPA) to ensure active involvement of the community in all stages of the activity. Four stages were implemented: (1) observation using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, (2) initial socialization on NCDs, (3) advanced socialization on TOGA cultivation and utilization (roselle, butterfly pea, stevia), and (4) revitalization of 140 m² of idle land into TOGA plots. A total of 20 participants joined through participatory learning methods, including discussions, Q&A, and hands-on practice. Pre-test and post-test assessments were conducted to evaluate changes in knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Results showed significant improvements in cultivation techniques (from 53.57% to 83.33%) and TOGA utilization (from 63.00% to 95.56%). The revitalized land successfully supported plant growth, demonstrating the feasibility of community-based TOGA cultivation. This program effectively improved community capacity in managing TOGA as a local resource while promoting empowerment and sustainable strategies for NCD prevention.
