Indonesia's student literacy levels remain concerning, with the 2022 PISA scores placing Indonesia at rank 69 out of 80 countries. Low literacy impacts students' critical thinking abilities. At Madrasah Aliyah Tarbiyatus Shibyan Lamongan, literacy challenges become more complex due to the integration of national and religious curricula. This Community Service aims to establish a reading community, facilitate literacy culture development, explore students' experiences regarding reading interest and critical thinking, and identify supporting and hindering factors of the program. The research uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach at MA Tarbiyatus Shibyan Lamongan in October 2025, involving 42 students in 3 groups. The program integrates participatory learning, guided reading, peer learning, and discussion-based learning. Results show the formation of the "Baca Buku MA Tarshib" community effectively increases reading interest and critical thinking abilities. Improvements are evident in logical conclusion-drawing abilities, problem assessment, and argumentation quality. Supporting factors include freedom to choose reading materials, interactive discussions, facilitator roles, and school support. Challenges faced include time limitations, book access, and unformed reading habits.
