Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the digital literacy competence of doctoral students of Islamic Studies UIN Walisongo and partner universities in academic reference management to support research integrity. The implementation method was carried out online via Zoom, using a qualitative descriptive approach that included the stages of preparation, implementation, monitoring, and reflection. This training focuses on optimizing Mendeley software for precise citation management and integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to improve research efficiency. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' technical understanding of managing digital reference databases and in their ethical awareness regarding the use of AI as a research assistant. The synergy between Mendeley's archiving accuracy and AI synthesis capabilities has proven effective in creating structured research workflows, minimizing citation errors, and improving the quality of scientific publications.
