MAINTAINING THE INTEGRITY OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA: THE ROLE OF GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING IN BUILDING COLLECTIVE NATIONAL AWARENESS

Abstract
The integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) is a common goal for all Indonesian citizens, which is realized through the spirit of unity and oneness amidst the diversity of this nation. The problem that needs to be solved in this context is how to strengthen collective national consciousness that can maintain the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia, considering the challenges of an increasingly complex era. The main aim of this research is to explore the role of counseling in building collective national awareness which can strengthen the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia. The method used in this research is a literature study, namely an approach that relies on a study of literature or written sources that are relevant to the research topic, namely the role of counseling in building collective national awareness to maintain the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia. The integrity of the Republic of Indonesia is a shared responsibility that requires commitment from all elements of the nation. In this context, counseling has a strategic role in forming collective awareness that strengthens national unity and integrity. Through an approach based on the values of Pancasila and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, counseling can help society to be more tolerant, inclusive and constructive in dealing with differences. In this way, the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia can continue to be maintained for the sake of creating a prosperous and harmonious nation.
