CHALLENGES IN RELIGION-BASED EDUCATION BETWEEN TRADITIONAL VALUES AND MODERN REALITIES

Abstract

Ethical challenges in faith-based education amidst social and technological changes. Faith-based education plays an important role in shaping individual character by instilling moral and ethical values. However, modern challenges such as digital technology, globalization, and value pluralism often conflict with the traditional values taught. It identifies two main aspects: first, ethical challenges that arise in the modern context; second, the synergy between traditional values and modern realities. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, this study proposes innovative strategies in faith-based education that are relevant and adaptive, including ethical integration of technology and teaching universal values. This study aims to provide an in-depth understanding of how faith-based education can remain relevant in the modern era, as well as offer practical solutions to support the development of the character of the younger generation with integrity and empathy.
