Article Retraction & Withdrawal
Tazkiyah: Journal Of Islamic Psychology recognizes the importance of maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the scholarly record.
- Article Withdrawal
Authors may request withdrawal of a manuscript before publication by submitting a formal written request to the editorial team.
Withdrawal requests should provide:
- manuscript title;
- manuscript ID;
- names of all authors;
- reason for withdrawal; and
- confirmation from all authors when applicable.
Once a manuscript has entered the peer-review or production process, withdrawal requests may be subject to editorial consideration.
- Article Retraction
A published article may be retracted when there is clear evidence of:
- plagiarism;
- fabricated or falsified data;
- serious research misconduct;
- duplicate publication;
- major ethical violations;
- substantial errors that invalidate the findings; or
- other circumstances that seriously compromise the integrity of the article.
When an article is retracted:
- the original article will remain accessible where appropriate;
- a clear Retraction Notice will be published;
- the reason for retraction will be stated;
- the article will be clearly marked as retracted; and
- relevant indexing and DOI records will be updated where possible.
Retraction decisions will be made by the Editor-in-Chief in consultation with the editorial board and, when necessary, relevant experts or institutions.
