Original Research Article

An original research article reports new and previously unpublished findings from theoretical, empirical, experimental, or applied research in mathematics education. The manuscript must demonstrate clear novelty, sound research methodology, and conclusions supported by the research findings. The study should contribute to the advancement of mathematics education theory, practice, learning innovation, or assessment.

Aspect Requirement
Content Original research in mathematics education, including Realistic Mathematics Education (RME), design and development research, mathematical abilities, mathematical literacy and numeracy, PISA-related tasks, ethnomathematics, mathematics teaching and learning, mathematics learning media and technology, mathematics assessment, problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, mathematical communication, and curriculum development in mathematics education.
Length Maximum 15 A4 pages, including tables, figures, and references.
Abstract One paragraph of 150–250 words, briefly presenting the research background, objectives, methods, main findings, and conclusions.
Keywords 3–5 keywords that represent the main concepts and focus of the study.
Structure Title, abstract, keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, back-matter statements where applicable, and References.
References Minimum 15 references, with at least 80% drawn from journal articles published within the last 10 years. Authors are encouraged to cite relevant recent and reputable scholarly publications.
Figures and Tables A recommended maximum of 10 figures and tables combined. All figures and tables must be relevant, clearly presented, and appropriately numbered and titled.
Language English (preferred) or Indonesian. Manuscripts must use clear, accurate, and academically appropriate language.
Review Double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers with relevant expertise in mathematics education or the manuscript's specific research area.

Review Article

A review article provides a systematic, critical, and comprehensive synthesis of existing research on a specific topic in mathematics education. It must present a clearly defined research focus, a transparent review methodology, and a substantive contribution to understanding research trends, theoretical developments, methodological approaches, or gaps in the literature.

Review articles may address topics such as mathematical literacy, RME, ethnomathematics, mathematics learning technologies, mathematical reasoning, PISA-related research, and innovations in mathematics education. Manuscripts should include an appropriate review methodology, clearly defined inclusion and exclusion criteria where applicable, a critical synthesis of the literature, and implications for future research and mathematics education practice. Systematic reviews and other rigorous evidence-synthesis approaches are particularly encouraged.

General Submission Requirements
