Authorship Criteria

Authorship Criteria
Every writer listed in an article in Al-Muaddib: Journal of Education Studies must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Make a substantial contribution to the conception or design of research, or to the collection, analysis, or interpretation of data.
  2. Compiling manuscripts or making critical revisions to important intellectual content.
  3. Giving final approval to the version of the manuscript to be published.
  4. Be willing to take responsibility for all aspects of the work and ensure that any questions related to the accuracy or integrity of the work are properly researched and resolved.

The inclusion of the author's name must be based on actual academic contributions. Position, position, personal connection, or administrative involvement alone cannot be used as a basis for obtaining status as an author.

Acknowledgement of Non-author Contributors
Contributors who do not meet all the authorship criteria are not listed as authors. Parties who provide technical assistance, data collection, language editing, funding support, or general supervision may be mentioned in the Acknowledgements section if their contributions are relevant and have been approved by the relevant party.

Unacceptable Authorship Practices
Al-Muaddib: The Journal of Educational Studies does not condone authorship practices that are contrary to the principles of integrity and ethics of scientific publications. Unacceptable practices include:

  1. Gift or Honorary Authorship: Listing a person as an author with no contributions who meet the authorship criteria, for example solely because of position or position.
  2. Guest Authorship: Adding the name of someone who doesn't meet the authorship criteria with the goal of increasing the article's reputation or chances of acceptance.
  3. Ghost Authorship: Doesn't list someone who has made substantial contributions and meets the authorship criteria.
  4. Purchased Authorship: Buying, selling, or trading a position as an author in a scientific paper.
  5. AI Authorship: Lists a generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) device as the author of the article. AI cannot be listed as an author because it cannot fulfill the responsibilities and accountability required for human authors.

The request must obtain written consent from all authors, including authors who will be removed from the authorship list.
