Post-Publication Discussion
Commitment to Scholarly Dialogue
USRAH: Jurnal Hukum Keluarga Islam supports constructive post-publication discussion as an essential component of scholarly communication, academic transparency, critical legal discourse, and the continuous development of knowledge in Islamic Family Law.
The journal recognizes that the publication of an article does not necessarily conclude scholarly evaluation. Further discussion, critical assessment, and the exchange of evidence-based perspectives may contribute to clarifying legal arguments, examining methodological limitations, evaluating interpretations of Islamic jurisprudence, and improving the reliability and scholarly impact of published research.
USRAH encourages responsible academic dialogue among researchers, legal scholars, lecturers, judges, legal practitioners, and other stakeholders engaged in Islamic Family Law and related interdisciplinary studies.
Scope of Post-Publication Discussion
Post-publication discussion may address research methodology, legal reasoning, interpretation of statutory provisions, Islamic jurisprudential analysis, empirical findings, theoretical frameworks, conclusions, or practical implications of articles published in USRAH: Jurnal Hukum Keluarga Islam.

Submission and Editorial Assessment
Readers, researchers, and legal scholars who wish to comment on an article published in USRAH: Jurnal Hukum Keluarga Islam may submit their contributions to the editorial office through the journal's designated submission channels.
Submissions should clearly identify the article under discussion, including its title, authors, publication details, and DOI where available, and explain the specific legal arguments, methodological issues, interpretations, findings, or conclusions being addressed.
The editorial team will assess each submission based on its relevance, originality, academic quality, accuracy of legal reasoning, evidentiary support, and compliance with the journal's publication ethics policies.
Where appropriate, submissions may undergo peer review or independent expert assessment, particularly when the discussion involves complex interpretations of Islamic jurisprudence, statutory provisions, judicial decisions, or disputed empirical findings.
The journal reserves the right to request revisions, seek additional clarification, or decline submissions that do not meet its scholarly and editorial standards.
Right of Response
To promote fairness, transparency, and balanced scholarly discussion, the authors of the original article may be invited to respond to substantive comments, criticisms, or alternative interpretations.
Any response should address the issues raised directly, provide supporting legal arguments or empirical evidence where appropriate, and maintain a professional, objective, and respectful academic tone.
Authors are encouraged to clarify their methodological choices, explain the legal foundations of their arguments, and respond constructively to scholarly criticism.
The editorial team will determine the appropriate format and publication process for comments and responses, taking into account their academic merit, relevance, and contribution to the published scholarly record.
Differences in legal interpretation, schools of Islamic jurisprudence, or theoretical perspectives should be addressed through reasoned academic argument rather than personal criticism or institutional preference.
Ethical Standards and Professional Conduct
All post-publication discussions must adhere to the principles of academic integrity, objectivity, fairness, mutual respect, and responsible scholarly communication.
Contributions should focus on the academic content, legal arguments, research methodology, and supporting evidence of published work rather than on the personal characteristics, religious affiliations, institutional backgrounds, or professional identities of the authors.
Authors of comments and responses are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their statements, properly acknowledging relevant legal and academic sources, and disclosing any conflicts of interest that may influence their contributions.
USRAH: Jurnal Hukum Keluarga Islam does not accept defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, misleading, or unsupported content.
Particular attention must be given to confidentiality and ethical responsibility when discussions involve sensitive family legal matters, including divorce, child custody, marriage disputes, domestic relations, and judicial proceedings involving identifiable individuals.
Confidential personal information, protected research data, or sensitive judicial records must not be disclosed without appropriate authorization.
Concerns regarding possible research misconduct, fabricated evidence, plagiarism, manipulated judicial references, or other serious ethical violations should be reported through the journal's established procedures for handling allegations of research misconduct rather than presented as unverified accusations in post-publication commentary.
Publication and Editorial Decisions
Accepted post-publication comments and author responses may be published in an appropriate format, subject to the journal's editorial policies and publication procedures.
Where applicable, published discussions will include clear references and links to the original article to facilitate accessibility, transparency, and contextual understanding.
Editorial decisions will be based on scholarly merit, relevance, legal accuracy, methodological rigor, supporting evidence, and compliance with ethical standards, rather than on whether a contribution supports or challenges the conclusions of the original publication.
The journal respects the diversity of scholarly perspectives within Islamic Family Law and recognizes that differences in legal reasoning and jurisprudential interpretation are legitimate elements of academic discourse.
If post-publication discussion identifies substantive errors or raises credible concerns regarding the reliability or integrity of a published article, USRAH: Jurnal Hukum Keluarga Islam may conduct further editorial assessment and take appropriate action.

-
Requesting clarification or additional supporting evidence from the original authors.

Post-publication discussions, author responses, corrections, expressions of concern, and related editorial notices will be linked to the relevant publication whenever practicable.
Any action affecting the status, interpretation, or reliability of a published article will be communicated clearly, transparently, and responsibly, in accordance with applicable publication ethics principles.
The journal recognizes the importance of preserving scholarly discussions concerning Islamic legal doctrines, statutory interpretation, judicial practices, and contemporary family legal issues as part of the continuing development of academic knowledge.
Editorial actions will seek to preserve the integrity of the original scholarly record while ensuring that readers have access to relevant clarifications, corrections, or updates.
