Plagiarism Policy

Tazkiyah: Journal Of Islamic Psychology is committed to maintaining academic integrity and does not tolerate plagiarism in any form. All submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism-detection software such as Turnitin or an equivalent system, at the initial submission stage and at other stages of the publication process when necessary.

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to: copying another person's words without appropriate citation; presenting another person's ideas as one's own; inappropriate paraphrasing without acknowledgment; copying substantial portions of another work; self-plagiarism; duplicate publication; and manipulation or misrepresentation of sources.

Manuscripts with a similarity index of 20% or higher may be returned to the authors for clarification and revision. However, the similarity percentage alone will not be used as the sole basis for determining plagiarism, the editorial team will examine the nature, source, and context of the similarity.

If plagiarism is confirmed, the journal may take one or more of the following actions: reject the manuscript, request clarification from the author, suspend the publication process, correct or retract a published article, and, in serious cases, report the matter to the author's institution.
