Tasawuf Modern dan Akal Budi: Revitalisasi Filsafat Pendidikan Buya Hamka untuk Membangun Karakter Holistik Generasi Z

The spiritual and moral crisis among the younger generation in the digital disruption era reveals a cognitive-affective imbalance in modern Islamic education. Learning models that prioritize rationality often neglect the cultivation of moral and spiritual consciousness among students. This study aims to revitalize Buya Hamka’s educational philosophy by developing a new theoretical framework, the Pedagogy of Holistic Reason and Conscience (PHRC), as an integrative approach to madrasah education. Employing a qualitative-descriptive design through library-based research, this study analyzes Hamka’s works alongside contemporary Islamic educational literature to construct an epistemological and practical model relevant to the current era. The findings indicate that PHRC consists of four interrelated dimensions: spiritual, rational, social, and ecological, each fostering divine awareness, moral logic, social empathy, and ecological responsibility. The implementation of PHRC in madrasahs includes teacher training, the habituation of scientific ethics, and the reinforcement of a spiritually rational curriculum. Theoretically, this study contributes to the renewal of Islamic education by integrating intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence, while practically, it aligns with the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ 2025 Vision for developing excellent, character-driven, and technologically adaptive madrasahs
